In the 2nd issue of the journal Полилог/Polylogos for 2019 a number of articles on the philosophical legacy of a lawyer, politician Vassily Alekseevich Maklakov (1869-1957), are published. Maklakov was a member of the State Duma of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th convocations, and a prominent figure in Russian emigration. Among the authors of the articles are participants in the symposium “Bifurcation of Russian History of the Beginning of the 20th Century: Towards the Origins of Political Alternativistics”, which was held on May 21, 2019 and dedicated to the 150th anniversary of V.A. Maklakov.

In addition, the issue contains the first part of an essay by Adam Rosen-Carol (Rochester Institute of Technology, USA) "Ideology and Utopia: Philosophy under Neoliberalism", translated by Dsc Irina Myurberg, as well as her article, which precedes the thoughts American theoretician on the philosophy of Jacques Derrida. In the section of book reviews there's the review by CSc Denis Letnyakov about the book of an American historian Yuri Slezkin "Government House. Saga of the Russian Revolution", which can rightfully be considered one of the most discussed works in the field of history and political theory in 2019.
